Frequently Asked Questions

Can I ride a bike or scooter?

Of course not!  Only Mosey is allowed to.  We are throwing him a bone since he was forced to leave Etta at home.  Plus, his scooter tricks are entertaining for the rest of us, even if they usually result in him breaking something.

Is this event timed?

Yup!  At the very least, we need a baseline to subtract your donated food from.

Do you have time limits?

Yes, everyone needs to be done by noon.  We love you, but it's been a long season, and we all need naps.

Can I wear a costume?

Heck yeah!  Our marketing director is already coming up with ideas on what she will force us to wear.  If you're lucky she will come up with a few ideas and put it to a vote on Facebook.

Are strollers allowed?

Yes!  We only ask that you start towards the rear of your wave for safety.

What about dogs?

While we love our four-legged friends, they are not allowed in the stadium, and we ask that you leave them at home.

Can I wear headphones/earbuds?

Yes, you are allowed to listen to music as long as you are aware of your surroundings.  We suggest leaving one ear open.

Will there be awards?

Yes!  We have a ton of leftover awards (literally, as in 2 thousand pounds worth) and will be finding a way to give them out, although it will most likely not be standard age group awards as that's boring, and this race is awesome/ridiculous.

Really?  Kids race free?

Yes!  Kids race free and will have their choice of shirt and medal, just like the big kids, I mean adults.  They will need to be registered, but the pricing is setup so that anyone 9 and under will not be charged

Why do I have to pay to signup if you aren't purchasing shirts and medals?

We might provide leftover shirts and medals but add a specific sweet medal slider to this event, which costs the same as the medal.  The only actual savings are in the cost of the shirt, and that has been taken into consideration.  As much as we'd love to let everyone race for free, rent is still due on the 1st. We like having heat and electricity, venues and food aren't free, staff and police need to be paid, etc.

Is this a closed course?

No, the course is open to the public but will primarily be on a paved trail.  Law enforcement will help with traffic where the trail crosses Pettis.

I've registered for the race but can't make it. What are my options?

Please check out the Tris4Health Secured Start Guarantee page for options.

Do you have an official training plan?

Seriously?  Not for this one.  This is as close as we get.

That wasn't from The Office?

I know, and I apologize but it seemed fitting.

Really, no training plan?

These aren't really helpful, and I have an actual question.

Number one, how dare you?

Number two, drop us a line at info@tris4health.com.

Who wrote this ridiculous FAQ?

Mosey, this is why we generally keep him away from things, usually just sharp objects but we might need to expand that.
