A little ridiculous.
A lot of heart.

If you’re a fan of The Office, you know where we got the inspiration for Jon and John’s Tris4Health Grand Rapids Virgil and Louise Phelps Memorial Celebrity Leftovers Awareness Pro-Am Fun Run Race to End Hunger (aka "The Leftover Run"). What started as a goof has grown into a race with real impact that helps feed families during the holidays by supporting North Kent Connect. The Leftover Run brings families, runners, walkers, and neighbors together to help stock local shelves before Thanksgiving.

Your generosity
beats the clock.

Here is the twist that makes this race its own thing: the food you bring comes off your 5K finish time. Each canned good or nonperishable item takes 30 seconds off. Each pound of frozen turkey takes one minute off. Your feet set the clock. Your donations change the result.

Canned goods and nonperishables take 30 seconds off per item. Frozen turkeys take one minute off per pound.

Example: Four canned goods take off two minutes. A 20-pound frozen turkey takes off 20 more. That is 22 minutes deducted from a 5K finish time.
